Salomon Cappadocia Ultra Trail

Cappadocia will welcome trail runners into one of Türkiye’s most iconic landscapes on October 16–18, 2026, as the Salomon Cappadocia Ultra Trail returns to the hills and valleys of a UNESCO World Heritage setting. With courses ranging from 14K to 119K, the event will bring endurance sport into a landscape shaped by fairy chimneys, volcanic formations, ancient valleys, cave settlements, and the unforgettable colors of Central Anatolia.

The program will offer four individual race distances. The 119K Salomon Cappadocia Ultra Trail will stand as the main endurance challenge, designed for runners ready to take on long hours, changing terrain, and the mental demands of ultra-distance racing. The 63K Cappadocia Medium Trail will offer a serious mountain-trail test, while the 38K Cappadocia Short Trail will bring a faster but still demanding race rhythm. The 14K Cappadocia Mini Trail will make the atmosphere more accessible for runners who want a shorter but memorable Cappadocia experience. Team formats will also add a shared competition element through the 119K CUT, 63K CMT, and 38K CST Team Games categories.

What makes this race special is the destination itself. Runners will move through valleys and high viewpoints that feel almost unreal, with Cappadocia’s natural formations and deep history surrounding every kilometer. For visitors, the weekend can continue with sunrise balloon views, Göreme’s open-air heritage, Uçhisar Castle, Ürgüp, Avanos pottery, local wines, and regional flavors such as testi kebabı (Pottery Kebab), mantı (Tiny dumplings), pumpkin dessert, and dried fruit specialties. Even if you are not running, you will still want to be here—because Salomon Cappadocia Ultra Trail will turn a race weekend into a journey through valleys, stone, sky, endurance, and one of the most cinematic landscapes in the world.
