MXGP of Türkiye & Afyon Motofest

Afyonkarahisar will become the center of world motocross on September 5–6, 2026, as MXGP of Türkiye brings elite riders, factory teams, and high-speed championship action back to the Afyonkarahisar Motorsports Center. As one of the most important events on the international motocross calendar, MXGP of Türkiye will gather some of the sport’s strongest names and major manufacturers, including global teams connected with brands such as KTM, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Husqvarna, GASGAS, Fantic, and more.

The race weekend will feature more than one championship story. Alongside MXGP, the program will include MX2, WMX, and EMX250 races, turning Afyonkarahisar into a full motocross stage where rising talents, women’s championship riders, European contenders, and world-class stars all share the same atmosphere. On a track known for its strong organization, paddock standards, and international visibility, every start, jump, corner, and final lap will carry serious championship energy.

The week will grow even bigger with Afyon Motofest, running from September 2–6 at the same venue. Concerts, camping areas, motorcycle shows, youth events, and adrenaline-filled activities will turn the championship into one of Türkiye’s largest integrated sports and festival experiences. Visitors will not come only for the races; they will come for a full week of motorsport culture.

Afyonkarahisar will also add its own local identity to the trip. Known for sucuk (Traditional Turkish Spiced Beef Sausage), kaymak (Traditional Turkish Clotted Cream), pastırma (Traditional Air-Dried Cured Beef), lokum (Turkish Delight), and rich local flavors such as buttery sucuk döner (Rotisserie Spiced Sausage Döner), the city will make race week feel bold, energetic, and unmistakably local. Even if you are not a motocross expert, you will still want to be here—because MXGP of Türkiye and Afyon Motofest turn Afyonkarahisar into a week of speed, sound, concerts, camping, local flavor, and world championship adrenaline.
