Marmaris International Race Week
Marmaris will bring one of the Eastern Mediterranean’s most established sailing traditions back to the water on October 24–30, 2026, as Marmaris International Race Week returns with a full program of registration, security checks, skipper briefings, racing, prize ceremonies, and international sailing community gatherings. Organized by Marmaris International Yacht Club since 1989, the event will once again place Marmaris at the center of competitive sailing in the region.
The race week will combine technical competition with strong maritime culture. From October 26 to 30, races will be held on inshore and offshore courses, giving crews different tactical and navigational challenges across five days. Wind reading, teamwork, boat handling, course strategy, and consistency will all matter. With participation traditionally reaching more than 100 boats and over 1,000 sailors from different countries, the event will create a serious racing atmosphere while also keeping the social spirit that has made Marmaris Race Week a long-running sailing tradition.
Marmaris will make the event feel much bigger than the racecourse. Between racing and evening ceremonies, visitors can experience the marina, Marmaris Castle, the old town, İçmeler, Turunç, nearby bays, gulet culture, and the relaxed rhythm of the southern Aegean coast. The local table will complete the trip with fresh seafood, Aegean mezes, pine honey, local herbs, and long seaside dinners. Even if you are not sailing, you will still want to be here—because Marmaris International Race Week will turn late October into a sailing week where technical racing, marina nights, international friendship, sea culture, and Marmaris’ coastal energy move together.
