ISU Figure Skating Junior Grand Prix

Ankara will welcome the next generation of international figure skating on September 17–19, 2026, as the ISU Figure Skating Junior Grand Prix comes to Türkiye. As part of the global Junior Grand Prix Series, the event will bring together promising young skaters from across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Oceania, and Africa—athletes competing not only for medals but also for valuable points on the road to the Junior Grand Prix Final.

Over three competition days, the program will feature Women, Men, Pair Skating, and Ice Dance, combining technical precision with the elegance that makes figure skating one of the world’s most visually captivating sports. From short programs to free skates and final ceremonies, Ankara will host a weekend shaped by rising talent, artistic expression, and the pressure of international competition. Teams will arrive on September 15, with official practice on September 16 ahead of the event.

For visitors, this will be a different kind of sports weekend—less noise, more focus, grace, and atmosphere. And Ankara works well for that. Between competition sessions, guests can turn the trip into a calm capital-city break with stops at Anıtkabir, museum visits, and relaxed evenings in the city. Even if you do not usually follow figure skating, you will still want to be here—because the Junior Grand Prix will turn Ankara into a stage for rising stars, clean lines, quiet intensity, and the beauty of sport on ice.
