Antalya Canyon Ultra 2026
Antalya is famous for its Mediterranean beaches, ancient ruins, and sun-soaked coastline. Yet just beyond the sea lies a rugged world of deep canyons, pine forests, and mountain trails that few visitors ever discover. On November 13–15, 2026, Antalya Canyon Ultra will invite runners into this remarkable landscape, bringing six trail races to the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, where nature, endurance, and thousands of years of history will meet.
The event will offer six distances, ranging from an accessible 7K to a demanding 70K ultra. The 70K Antalya Termessos Ultra, featuring approximately 2,037 meters of elevation gain, will be the ultimate endurance challenge, testing experienced runners through long climbs, changing terrain, and technical sections. The 45K Antalya Goat Ultra, with 1,194 meters of climbing, will deliver another serious mountain test. The 36K Alageyik Trail and 22K Forest Trail, featuring 770 and 400 meters of elevation gain, will offer different levels of challenge through the region's forested landscape. For runners seeking shorter distances, the 13K Güver Cliff Trail and 7K My Pace Run will provide opportunities to discover the trails at a different pace.
What will set this race apart is the extraordinary terrain surrounding it. Across the event's routes, runners will encounter the dramatic landscapes of Güver Cliff, Güver Canyon, Kapuz Canyon, Karaman Stream, Cennet Valley, and Doyran Pond. Historic paths associated with the Lycian Way, along with the cultural heritage surrounding Doyran Monastery and the ancient city of Neapolis, will add another dimension to the experience. With the Beydağları Mountains rising in the distance, the race will reveal a side of Antalya where wilderness and ancient history exist side by side.
The weekend will open on November 13 with the race expo and athlete preparations. The four longer distances will begin on November 14, followed by the 13K Güver Cliff Trail, the 7K My Pace Run, and children's race on November 15.
For those traveling beyond the start line, Antalya will offer plenty more to explore. Visitors can discover the ancient mountain city of Termessos, wander through the narrow streets of Kaleiçi, visit Karain Cave, or spend an afternoon along Konyaaltı Beach. The region's culinary traditions will complete the journey with Antalya piyazı, a white bean salad dressed in creamy tahini sauce; hibeş, a rich tahini-based dip with lemon, garlic, and spices; and local citrus specialties.
For runners, Antalya Canyon Ultra will be a journey through steep trails, deep valleys, and ancient landscapes. For everyone else, it will offer a rare invitation to explore the Antalya that lies beyond the beaches, where the mountains hold stories just as compelling as the Mediterranean coast.
